Nestled to one side of Cwm Pennant, the site of Saint Melangell’s shrine church has a stillness that is filled with moment.

This is a special place. And though it has been a Christian settlement for 1400 years, the site is much older, as we see in the evidence of the pre-Christian yew trees.

Today, pilgrims again come this way, and whether it is to Melangell’s shrine church or to its ancient yews, we all bear witness to the intense experience of this liminal place.
